Wake Me Up When You're Going to Bed

HYELLOW!!

This is one of those rare times...
when we are both awake.

Minnie and Bubbalub have a sleeping schedule that can only be described as... interesting.
When Minnie is asleep, that's the time when Bubbalub does her "job." (We'll tell you more about this "job" thingy. Oh, and it's not prostitution.)
By the time Bubbalub is done with the "job," she wakes Minnie up. That's when Minnie goes to class and Bubbalub sleeps.

Here's the complete schedule:
1 a.m. Bubbalub starts working
3 a.m. Minnie falls asleep (after listening to Gabe Bondoc's "Chasing Pavement" and singing along for the 20th time.)
6 a.m. Bubbalub's done with her work and wakes Minnie up.
6.30 a.m. Minnie leaves for school, Bubbalub sleeps.
11 a.m. Minnie comes home from school and wakes Bubbalub up.
12.01 p.m. MAYBE lunch
1 p.m. Minnie takes a nap.
5 p.m. Bubbalub wakes Minnie up, then takes a nap. Minnie watches YouTube for hours, singing to herself.
7 p.m. Bubbalub wakes up and sings with Minnie.
9 p.m. Minnie (tries to) does her homework and chills with Bubbalub.
9 p.m - 12 a.m. Minnie tries to do her homework (still) and Bubbalub tries to start her "work" while singing together, still.

We have issues.

"How did it get so late so soon? It's night before it's afternoon. December is here before it's June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?"

Cheers!

Sleeping on shifts since last June.

Can't Even Think of a Title...Checked

3.19 am, it is.
Bubbalub is out of town and here I am trying to deal with this unease.  Seems like anxiety is constantly floating around our room, trying to prey upon us.

So here is what's going on.

I have tons of work this weekend.  Online exams due within the next 20 hours (and I've only got 2/100 pages of reading done). A report due Monday.  Another homework due Monday. And I spent about the last 6 hours doing nothing. NOTHING. NADA.
I tried turning off my computer.  Didn't work still.  My logic homework is supposed to be fun.  It had always been.  And it's always a good start for me to get myself focused.  This time, I can't even remember how to do my logic homework.  This is bizarre.  I hate this feeling.
Anxious, checked.
Unease, checked.
Distracted, checked.

I also work so much better under pressure usually.  But now...the pressure is clearly on and I don't even know what I'm doing.

Goodness, what the hell is wrong with me?

The Idea of Wedding?

First of all, I am not going to talk about the philosophy of marriage whatsoever.
THAT- will freak me out no doubt.
Here, I just need to pour out my immense love of weddings.

Having been raised for the first seventeen years of my life in a very conventional surrounding where marriage is seen as another milestone every human beings have to be in at some point (and by some point I mean before the 30s) and not a life option used to determine my mindset that it was just another state in life that I would be in at some point in my life.  No thoughts of having the possibility of not being able to find 'the right one' (but still, don't ask me to describe this subject matter...yet), nor having the possibility of still cherishing my single life in my mid 30s.  Well, I would merrily prefer having a youthful happy family in my 20s, still, but matchmaking used to seem like a more feasible option.  Wedding was just a tiny piece of the marriage itself.  Not a big deal.

Well, enough about that.  Growing up and seeing more possibilities in my life have altered my mind.  Wedding isn't just a piece of marriage (it is technically, but it is not JUST a piece).  I get to appreciate the beauty of it, which is terrific.  The more I go to weddings, the more I admire them.  And I accidentally was directed to some magnificent wedding websites and blogs (thanks to the abundant ads, 90% of which has successfully made me waste my times trying to figure out how to exit from since the x-sign doesn't mean "close" anymore nowadays....interesting) quite recently.  They have so many fun and wonderful concepts. From the DIY weddings, extraordinary settings and ideas for pre-wed photos (oh gosh...they are uhhhhmazing), and just everything else.  Gorgeousness.
Please do check them out.  I have some of my favorites posted below.  You'll love them.

Cheers,
Minnie

A Stupid Stupid Night

So Minnie is sound asleep on her bed and here I am wide awake on mine.

It's 3 a.m. Someone just jumped in the pool outside. My insomnia is back.
What a weird night.

Cheers!

Having insomnia since 2008.

The Silver Lining Between Snow White and Us

HYELLOW!

a conversation between Minnie and Bubbalub (Tues, Aug 3, 9:15):

(watching the music video of Kiss the Girl from Disney's Little Mermaid)
Minnie: See that?! Even the cartoons for kids are about romance.
Bubbalub: Yeah! And see that guy? He's a jerk.
Minnie: Why?
Bubbalub: He falls in love with a girl's voice, then meets her and falls in love with her for real, then he meets another girl that he thinks is that girl with the voice, and he leaves her for the other girl who has stolen the girl with the voice's voice.
Minnie: Huh?
Bubbalub:Ok. That guy falls in love with the girl and as soon as he sees the other girl with the voice he leaves the first girl to marry that new girl. When the new girl turns into an octopus, he falls back in love with the first girl and idiot enough, that first girl accepts him!
Minnie: Yeah. He's a jerk!
Bubbalub: And that girl, Cinderella?
Minnie: Yeah, she's stupid
Bubbalub: And Snow White? She accepts an apple from a stranger old lady!
Minnie: Yeah. She got so excited just because she is given an apple! That's so like...
Minnie and Bubbalub: us.

Damn it!

Yes, it's very easy to excite us. We were so excited to go to GameWorks the other day.
If an old lady knocks on our door and offers us apples,
we would get very excited, we would eat it while talking about how sweet the old lady is, and we would die.

Damn you Disney movies!
(We still love Disney movies. They are the best!)

Cheers!

Accepting apples from strangers since 1995
(about the time we first watched Snow White)

Mose Allison.
An American jazz blues musician.  Great taste of humor (well, he didn't look too friendly during the performance.  But it's okay, Mose, we still love you).  His lyrics spoke for themselves. Highly recommended.

The Life Pursuit

HYELLOW!

Alessandro and Alejandro
Picture taken by
Minnie

The toothbrushes seen on the picture are Alessandro (purple) and Alejandro (red).

Minnie and Bubbalub finally found the meaning of life.
How?
One night, Bubbalub was roaming around a major grocery store when she found the two [guys] mentioned above. She first saw Alessandro laying down surrounded by other plain boring toothbrushes (all of them are not blinking and not shaped like a Crayola, I should add).
Bubbalub fell in love with it instantly and she got even more excited when she saw Alejandro, in red. So she picked it up for Minnie. And the four of them live happily ever after (well, at least for the next 4 days).

Anyway, we finally realize that Alessandro and Alejandro represent what life is all about.
The most important thing is that life should be colorful (just like Alessandro and Alejandro), it should be full of light (just like Alessandro and Alejandro), and, most importantly, it should be filled with hot Italian and Spanish guys (just like Alessandro and Alejandro. Well, at least their names), for the men (or anyone who is not interested in hot Italian and Spanish guys for that matter), hot Italian and Spanish girls also count (with names like Alessandra or Alejandra or whatever).
With that, we found our Life Pursuit.

And life goes unnoticed just like the toothbrushes.

Cheers!

In love with toothbrushes since 2010.

Note: The CD cover under the toothbrushes is a Belle and Sebastian's album, titled "The Life Pursuit."

Welcome to the Days of Our Trivial, Freakish, and Erratic lives.

HYELLOW!!

If you like to talk about adorable cartoon characters and imitate the way they talk (all day everyday, we might add), sing nursery rhymes, are astounded by colorful blinking Crayola toothbrushes (seriously, it was the most genius invention of all times), and obsess about songs with lyrics like "I shot my lover in the head" or "Because your mind is on vacation and your mouth is workin' overtime," then sit tight and enjoy.

If you think all the things mentioned above are stupid, then RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! (we think you're a moron, but we're sure you think that about us too, which is totally fine.)

Let the foolishness begin!

Cheers!
